Crisis social science. Part I. Lectures. M.: Scientific expert, 2011

One of the major reasons of USSR collapse and severe crisis in Russia – is weak development or even absence of rational (pragmatic, scientific) component of social science. The reason is fundamental: industrial society can not be described in the framework of traditional, ordinary knowledge. Soviet social science, which in terms of methodology is closer to natural philosophy than to science, has come to grief. It was unable to foresee devastating system crisis of the end of 20th century. Post soviet social science is in even worse condition with no capacity of explaining reality. Professional communities have decayed.

Establishment of the new Russian social science is an imperative for our country today. Crisis, as a special kind of event requires updates of its indicators, moadels, criteria.

This book is the introduction to crisis social science, or more precisely, to applied analysis of the problems occurred in the course of governance and social crisis in post Soviet Russia.
